Sally is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) with experience working with adult individuals of varying life stages and diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. She has worked with college and postgraduate students navigating the challenges of transition and uncertainty as well as with individuals struggling with anxiety, social anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, grief, binge-eating, and self-esteem.

Sally’s other areas of interest and experience include partnering with individuals who are healing from unhealthy or toxic family relationships, struggling with their identity or self-worth, exploring their sexuality or sexual identity, and individuals exploring their faith and spirituality.

Healing and self-discovery are necessary and ongoing processes of a healthy and thriving person. Sally is dedicated to providing a safe and unconditionally accepting space that is conducive to each person’s journey. She also believes in the power of a strong therapeutic alliance and is invested in knowing and seeing her clients fully, as they are. More than anything, Sally is passionate about providing emotional support and compassion as clients engage in the difficult work of healing.

Sally values a holistic approach to counseling and believes each individual’s unique body, mind, and spirit as well as external circumstances must be taken into consideration. She operates primarily from a person-centered approach and also draws from theories including humanistic-existential therapy and psychodynamic therapy. To cater to each client’s individual needs, she utilizes an eclectic toolbox with various techniques and exercises from CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and gestalt therapy. Sally aims to work collaboratively with clients to develop goals and explore tools and skills that work for each person. Through counseling, Sally hopes clients will gain an understanding of their emotions, increase in their self-awareness, and be empowered to learn and implement practices that allow them to form and maintain healthy relationships.
