Supporting & Snuggling NJ clients
Dolly is an emotional support animal with over 1 year and 6 months of lived experience. Dolly enjoys attending sessions with her Mom and receiving cookies from clients, when applicable.
Dolly implements a mix of supportive counseling and somatic healing approaches via hugging or kissing. Dolly values the relationship between herself and the client, and works to maintain this therapeutic relationship. As an Emotional Support Animal, Dolly’s goal is to uplift and celebrate the client as they are.
Dog psychology differs from human psychology in the sense that Dolly cannot conceptualize past or future experiences, and lives only in the present. Dolly is a constant reminder for both staff and clients alike that we can learn a lot from remaining in the present moment.
