Cathy is a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 9 years of experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults confronted with mental health concerns and wellbeing.

Her clinical background was founded while working for various community agencies that served clients of all ages and backgrounds. Although Cathy has experience in a broad range of presenting clinical issues, she has a particular interest and specialty in working with children, adolescents and adults on issues such as defiance, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, complex trauma, transition/adjustment, family therapy, and parenting education and coaching. Cathy also has extensive experience in working with clients who struggle with issues regarding culture and identity.

As a counselor, Cathy’s goal is to provide a compassionate and safe space for all clients to be able to partner with her to identify the ways to increase well being. As people, we all want to be heard and understood. As your therapist, Cathy strives to help clients find their voice and empower them to utilize their strengths and experiences to improve and move forward to a healthier future. Cathy believes that no two people are the same and that all experiences are unique and special to the individual. Cathy is here to listen to your story and together develop your strengths, self-awareness, and a secure relationship with yourself and those around you.

Cathy’s clinical approach is a person-centered one and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. All treatment approaches are catered to the unique needs of each client. Cathy creates a safe and warm environment that allows clients to acquire better coping skills, stress management, relationship issues, and overall well-being.
